Telecommunication equipment vendor, GS Instruments (GSI, CEO Mr. An Chang Don) announced that the company’s network analyzer, Protek (model: A333) acquired “Superior Product” certification by Korean Public Procurement Service (PPS) on 14th of March, 2010
“Superior Product” certification system is that PPS select the concerned product which is manufactured by small and medium enterprise to provide the quality product to the governmental organization. The company’s network analyzer was highly estimated since the technology, which only Agilent and only a few company have in the world, was firstly developed in Korea.
Network analyzer’s function is to analyze the telecommunication function of electronic products which transmit and receive the radio signal.
Especially that equipment can check the error of frequency which oscillates 3.2bil times (3.2GHz) per second. The merit of this equipment is light weight by 40%, cost effective by 30% compared with foreign equipments. Also the product adopt 10.4 inch TFT-LCD display for user convenience and provide all options without additional charge to lessen the customer’s burden.
Mr. An, CEO of GSI, explained, “since all recent system such as WiMAX and WiBro adopt the frequency below the 3GHz, practically all telecommunication signal and error of the product can be checked by GSI’s network analyzer.”
“Protek has been provided to telecommunication experts due to its feature of effective analysis of repeater’s and terminal’s function which form telecommunication frequency.” Mr. An added “It is light and easy to use, so US$20~30Mil of import substitution effect is expected.”
GSI has the plan to launch the upgraded 8GHz network analyzer in July at the earliest and currently is in the final development stage.
