US FOSE, ¡®Eyes on¡¯ Korean Green Technology

Our green technology was appealing to US FOSE

According to KOTRA, 19 different companies from Korea – bringing energy-efficient machines, LED, security films, and high-tech surveillance cameras – were greatly complemented by the US federal office systems¡¯ director on the 31st. The exhibition was held in Washington DC¡¯s Convention Center between the 10th and the 12th where KOTRA participated to represent Gyounggi-do and Seoul.

At this convention, about 500 companies participated with Info., security, and telecommunications¡¯ latest technologies. The number of participating companies rose from 13 to 19 since last year¡¯s exhibit and this time around, according to KOTRA¡¯s statistics, the total outcome was $24 million dollars worth of negotiating and $2.65 million of actual contract amount.

According to KOTRA, Wellbas, one of the Korean booths, displayed the ¡®AI energy-efficient receptacle¡¯ was of interest to many, especially at this time when energy efficiency was one of the top interests. This product senses when an electrical appliance is turned on or off, thus saving 30% of otherwise wasted energy and extending the battery life to more than double its value. Wellbas acquired partnership with ACS, which is a reputable Info. Tech. office system solution company, also being requested to cooperate with MITA and Comm-Inc.

Also, Pixthea was able to present a revolutionary energy-efficient and low-heat producing LED lighting equipment, being another interest to US buyers, resulting in being a partial provider.

Paragon Tec, which presented the infrared lens, and Innovation Solutions, which is an office system company in the US woodland area, decided to install their product in the Californian woodland area and North-South American border regions after further testing and approval. With Morris, a lighting office system company, they¡¯re negotiating how they should install infrared lenses in the government buildings in Washington area.

KOTRA chose Sehwa as the most potent prospect in the security film industry, presently mostly held by 3M, having the highest quality product as well as competitive prices. Having set the goal to exceed more than double the office systems¡¯ goal of last year, it did a co-op marketing with Wiscraft, the monopolizing company in that field. Sehwa was successful in a long-term contract with this company, met from the KOTRA-sponsored US Office System Vendor Invitational Exhibition. Further more, Wiscraft decided to carry on with the monopoly-form contract with BI Korea, which presented the ¡®fingerprint scanner,¡¯ right after government approval. Other than that, GS Instruments will be the federal supply for ¡®Wireless Measuring Instruments¡¯ through EyakTek, an office system preferable company.

KOTRA¡¯s Main Industry Inducement Executive, Sungpil Um said, ¡°in this year¡¯s office system market, economy-stimulate related green tech products will be promising, especially the main items, IT, internet, and energy-efficient products, which are our corporates¡¯ competitive strengths.
