GS Instruments has successfully developed network analyzer at 3.2GHz range.
Until now, network analyzers have been monopolized by a few world famous companies such as Agilent in USA.
GSI(GS Instruments, CEO An Chang-Don) announced on 11th that they have successfully developed a network analyzer Protek A333 and is selling to companies around the globe.
This new network analyzer can analyze radio signals up to 3.2 GHz in frequency range. It is 40% lightweight and 30% lower in price depending on options compared to competing products made by foreign companies.
¡°Most recently developed telecommunication systems like Wi-Bro or WiMAX use the frequency range lower than 3 GHz, so virtually A333 can analyze all telecom signals,¡± says Mr. An Chang Don, CEO of GSI. ¡°It is capable of measuring insertion loss, reflection loss, VSWR, impedance, flatness and other parameters, allowing all RF related personnel to use conveniently.¡±
In particular, A333 is considered to be suitable for telecommunication personnel due to the product¡¯s ability to analyze repeaters and handsets effectively.
For user convenience, the product comes with 10.4 inch TFT-LCD touch screen and reduced options to lower customers¡¯ burden on cost.
¡°We invested over 1.5 billion Won in 3 years to develop this product,¡± explained Mr. An. ¡°It is lightweight and easy to use. We are expecting 20~30 billion Won in import substitution a year.¡±
He continued, ¡°Network analyzers are essential in checking and maintaining all electrical transmitter-receivers for RF signals. Until now, all of it were imported from foreign brands.¡±
GSI¡¯s goal for market share on network analyzer this year has been set to 50% in domestic and 2.6% in overseas markets respectively.
